Get Well Gifts

A little something to remind them you care.

Get well gift setting with a teddy bear, colouring and puzzle books, tea, cosy socks, candle, treats and comfort items

When someone is going through a difficult time, finding the right thing to send isn’t always easy. You may want to cheer them up, offer a little comfort, give them something to enjoy or simply remind them that there are people thinking of them.

Our Get Well collection brings together gifts chosen with those moments in mind, from comforting teddy bears and pamper treats to chocolates, sweets and food hampers, alongside gifts created especially for someone who isn’t feeling their best. Some may bring a smile, others a little comfort or a welcome distraction. None of them can make everything better — but they can carry a little care from you to them when it matters.

When you wish you could do a little more

Sometimes you want to help, but there simply isn’t much you can do to change what someone is facing. You might be nearby but unable to make things easier, or hundreds of kilometres away wishing you could pop in, sit beside them or simply let them know they haven’t slipped from your thoughts.

Sending a gift won’t fix what’s happening, and it doesn’t need to pretend that it can. Sometimes its job is much smaller than that: to arrive unexpectedly, give them something different to focus on and remind them that someone took a moment to think about them. A little comfort, a little encouragement, perhaps even a smile on a day when smiles have been in fairly short supply.

A knock at the door can change the day

When life has become a little too focused on appointments, resting, waiting or simply getting through the day, an unexpected delivery can be a very welcome interruption. For a little while, there’s something else to think about: a box to open, a message to read and the small pleasure of discovering what someone has sent.

What happens next depends entirely on the gift — and on them. They might reach straight for the chocolate, settle in with something comforting, find a teddy waiting for a cuddle or discover something that keeps their hands and mind occupied for a while. The moment doesn’t have to be enormous to matter. Sometimes having something nice happen in the middle of a not-so-nice day is quite enough.

Finding something that feels right

Choosing a Get Well gift can be easy when you know exactly what someone enjoys, but that isn’t always the case. Sometimes you know their favourite treats and what will make them smile; other times you may be choosing for a colleague, employee or someone you simply don’t know particularly well. Either way, there are plenty of ways to send a thoughtful gesture without needing to know everything about them.

Chocolate and sweet treats can bring a little pleasure to the day, pamper gifts offer a gentler kind of treat, teddy bears can bring comfort, and gifts with a variety of things to discover can be useful when you’re less certain what they would choose for themselves. You can start with what you know, however little that might be, and choose something that seems appropriate for the person and the circumstances. The gesture itself will carry an important part of the message.

When you can’t be there yourself

There are plenty of reasons you might not be able to visit. You may live too far away, the timing may not be right, or the person may simply need rest and a little space. Sometimes you could be there physically but still feel unsure what to say or how to make things any easier.

A gift gives you another way to reach them. Your personal message can say the things you want them to know, while the gift itself becomes something tangible they can open and enjoy. It doesn’t replace being there, and it isn’t meant to. It simply lets a little piece of your thoughtfulness arrive when you can’t — or when words on their own don’t quite feel like enough.

Sending the thought behind the gift

Once you’ve chosen what to send, we take care of the part that comes next. We prepare your gift, add your personal message and get it ready for its journey, knowing that the reason behind it may be as simple as wanting someone to know they’ve been thought about.

We don’t know what kind of day they’ll be having when it arrives, or what the weeks ahead might hold. What we do know is that someone chose to send something their way. Perhaps it will bring a little comfort, raise a smile or simply remind them that somewhere, someone was thinking of them. Whatever the moment looks like, we’ll make sure the care you put into choosing their gift is carried through to the way we prepare it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of gifts are included in your Get Well collection?

Our Get Well collection includes a wide variety of gifts chosen to bring a little comfort, encouragement or enjoyment to someone who isn’t feeling their best. You’ll find chocolates and sweets, food hampers, pamper gifts, teddy bears and gifts created especially with Get Well moments in mind.

The collection is deliberately varied because the right gift can mean something different for everyone. Some offer a little treat, some can help pass the time and others are simply something lovely to receive when the days haven’t been particularly lovely themselves. All of the gifts in this collection are alcohol-free.

Can you deliver Get Well gifts to hospitals?

Yes. We regularly send Get Well gifts to hospitals, as well as to recipients recovering or resting at home. When sending to a hospital, the recipient’s full name and the name of the hospital are the most important details. If you also know their ward, room number or other relevant information, please include it when ordering, as it can help the gift find its way to the right place.

Hospital deliveries can work differently from deliveries to a home or workplace, as gifts may need to pass through the hospital’s own receiving and internal delivery system before reaching the recipient. For some hospitals within our local Gold Coast delivery area, we personally deliver throughout the day and can often take the gift directly to the patient’s ward or ward reception.

It’s also worth checking that the recipient is still in hospital before placing your order, particularly if their stay may be short. If you’re unsure about any of the delivery details, please feel free to contact us and we’ll help where we can.

What can I send if I don’t know the recipient very well?

You don’t need to know someone’s favourite chocolate, preferred pamper products or entire life story to send a thoughtful Get Well gift. If you’re choosing for a colleague, employee, client or someone you simply don’t know particularly well, a gift with a good variety can be a helpful place to start.

Think about what feels appropriate for the recipient, the circumstances and the amount you’d like to spend. Food hampers and gifts with a mix of treats can offer plenty to choose from, while some of our purpose-designed Get Well gifts are an easy way to send a little encouragement without needing to know their personal preferences. If you’re still unsure, please feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help you narrow down the choices.

Can I include a personal message with my Get Well gift?

Absolutely. Your personal message is included with the gift, giving you a chance to add a few words of your own. It might be a simple “thinking of you”, a little encouragement, something to make them smile or whatever feels right for the person and the circumstances.

There’s no need to find the perfect thing to say. Sometimes a few genuine words are enough to let someone know they’re in your thoughts, and we’ll make sure your message is included with the gift you’ve chosen.
