For the little one on the way — and the parents getting ready to meet them
A baby shower is a chance to celebrate before the little one arrives — and to help the parents-to-be prepare for everything that comes next. Whether you choose something practical for those busy first weeks, something special for baby or a little of both, it’s a lovely opportunity to give them something they’ll genuinely be glad to have when the big day comes.

$132.00 View GiftA baby shower gift doesn’t have to be terribly serious. Yes, those early weeks come with an impressive need for practical things, and gifts that make everyday life with a newborn a little easier are often very gratefully received.
But baby showers are celebrations too. A cheeky bib, a funny little onesie or a pair of socks that gets passed around the room for everyone to read can be just as much fun to give as it is to receive.
Then there are the things chosen simply because they’re lovely — a soft companion waiting for baby, a keepsake for later, or something the parents might hold onto long after those tiny clothes have been outgrown.
Useful, meaningful or just plain funny — sometimes the best baby shower gifts manage to be a little of each.
Baby may be the guest of honour, but the parents are the ones about to discover just how much life can change around one very small person.
A baby shower can be a lovely opportunity to give them something that makes those early days a little easier too. It might be a practical baby essential they’ll reach for constantly, something Mum can enjoy for herself, or a gift that combines a few treats for the grown-ups with something special for their new arrival.
There’s no rule saying every ribbon and parcel at a baby shower has to be entirely for baby. Sometimes looking after the people who’ll be doing all the looking after is a pretty good gift too.
You can also explore our Baby Gift Baskets for more ideas for the new arrival.
Not every little arrival comes with advance notice of whether you’re shopping for a boy or a girl — and sometimes the parents would rather keep that particular surprise to themselves.
Luckily, that doesn’t make choosing a baby shower gift difficult. Soft neutrals, gentle colours and cheerful brights can all work beautifully without needing to belong on one side of the traditional pink-and-blue divide.
And if the parents have chosen not to find out, there’s something rather lovely about joining in the suspense. Our gender-neutral gifts give you plenty to choose from while leaving baby to make the big announcement in their own time.
There’s something about a nappy cake that seems made for a baby shower. It looks like a proper present when it arrives, creates a little moment when it’s opened and, underneath all that presentation, is filled with things the new parents can actually use.
Nappies, clothing and other baby essentials may not sound terribly exciting written on a shopping list, but arranged into a nappy cake or baby bouquet they become part of the celebration — practical without looking practical.
They’re also lovely when you want to give one substantial gift rather than arrive with an armful of smaller things. And once the wrapping comes off and the cake comes apart, very little has been included simply for decoration.
Our Nappy Cakes & Baby Bouquets bring the fun of giving something special to the baby shower while still being useful once baby comes home.
Sometimes you’re shopping for your daughter, sister or closest friend and you already know exactly what they’ll appreciate. You may know the nursery they’re planning, what they’ve already bought and even which little things they’ve decided they can probably live without.
Other times, the invitation comes from a colleague, neighbour or someone you simply don’t know quite as well. That doesn’t make choosing a lovely baby shower gift any harder. Something useful, easy to enjoy and suited to those first weeks can be just as warmly received without needing to know every detail of their plans.
You don’t need to know exactly what they’ll need once baby arrives. Sometimes choosing something useful, lovely or simply fun is more than enough.
Our baby clothing is generally newborn or 0–3 months, depending on the item and supplier. The individual product page shows the size of any clothing included, so you can check exactly what’s in the gift before ordering.
Absolutely. If the baby shower is happening in another town or interstate and you can’t be there in person, you can have your gift delivered directly to the parents-to-be.
Add your personal message when you order and we’ll include it exactly as you’ve written it. You may be celebrating from a distance, but your gift can still be part of the occasion.
There’s no single right time, but if you’re sending your gift from a distance, it’s a good idea to have it arrive before the baby shower rather than aiming for the day itself.
Many baby showers are held on weekends, when standard courier deliveries are generally not available. Allowing a little extra time means the parents-to-be can have your gift there for the celebration without you having to worry about whether it will arrive in time.
If the baby shower is on the Gold Coast, our Premium Saturday delivery may also be available for an additional $30.
Delivery timeframes are estimates rather than guarantees, so for gifts travelling by courier, a little early is always better than a little late.
You can find more information on our Shipping & Delivery page
Not at all. Baby may be the reason everyone is celebrating, but there’s nothing wrong with including something for the parents-to-be as well.
You might choose a gift with a little pampering for Mum, gourmet treats for both parents, something practical for baby — or a combination that gives everyone something to enjoy.
There are no rules to follow. If it feels right for the family you’re celebrating, it belongs at the baby shower.
